PresentationTube project has been launched by Dr. Alaa Sadik in 2013 to help faculty, teachers and students in Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other countries around the world to record and use quality video tutorials easily and effectively. This non-profit project offers free video recording tools, online video sharing platform, and on-site as well as online training.
PresentationTube Recorder allows teachers to narrate and annotate PowerPoint slides and synchronize a variety of essential visual media, including webcam video, whiteboard, Web content, YouTube video, and computer screen. The screen recorder automates the process and ensures that presenters only need minimal technical knowledge and spend no additional time creating materials.
The recorder can also add screen captions to your recordings in seconds and with the unique annotation feature you can even personalize your videos by including a webcam movie of yourself over your desktop. With visual aids, like the drawing board, presenters can draw lines, curves, graphs, and shapes on the screen to emphasize or clarify their ideas, so the demonstration can be clearer.
The online platform uses the latest YouTube Data API technology to upload, process, and host video tutorials and combine video with scrollable slide thumbnails, allowing the audience to move to the respective video content and control both the progress and length of video tutorials. Both the software and the online platform is available for free, with unlimited video storage space and video delivery bandwidth.
